Now we´re not talking about the Philip Johnson Glass House, which is a National Trust Historic Site (although it´s very interesting place as well).
The famous quote says "People who live in glass houses shouldn´t throw stones." But it also won´t be feature today. This article is going to be about buildings with some large glass surfaces.

We can call them "glass houses". However, from very evident reasons a house can´t be built just from the glass. Dailymail.co.uk recently wrote an interesting article about it. They vere wondering whether living in it could improve our health. Having the daylight in all rooms and seeing nature outside surely sounds nice. 
The basic questions are probably how to prevent this glass house from overheating and how to provide some wanted shadow. The engineers would also have to solve out the question of ventilation and isolation. Here are some concepts which are built already. Which one do you like the most? 

Teraz nejdem hovoriť o inštitúte Philip Johnson Glass House (aj keď je to nepochybne zaujímavý projekt). Známy anglický výrok hovorí "People who live in glass houses shouldn´t throw stones." (Ľudia žijúci v sklenených domoch by do nich nemali hádzať kamene). Ale to tiež nie je témou dnešného článku. Budeme hovoriť o budovách, ktoré tvorí z veľkej časti sklo. 
Môžeme ich nazývať sklennými domami, aj keď z celkom očividných príčin musia mať aj iné zložky. Dailymail.co.uk o nich nedávno uverejnil pútavý článok. Tvorcovia a architekti rozmýšľali nad tým, či by bývanie v takomto dome mohlo zlepšiť zdravie. Celodenný prísun svetla a spojenie s okolitou prírodou predsa znie fajn či???
Základné otázky pri tvorbe sú pravdepodobne ako ochrániť budovu pred prehrievaním a ako poskytnúť tieň. Inžinieri by tiež museli vyriešiť otázku vetrania a izolácie. Tieto koncepty už boli postavené. Ktorý domček je váš favorit?

    Mám rád takové stavby, kdy člověk v podstatě žije s okolím..má to ale i své nevýhody..je do nich moc vidět, což zase řeší důmyslný systém žaluzií apod.

    I'm not sure how much I would enjoy living in a glass house, I don't mind certain part of the house to be glass but I love my privacy. LOL!
